Lamborghini Tests Huracan

Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini has preparing a new model namely Huracan Superleggera. The prototype has a large and aggressive front splitter as well as aggressive rear wing. From the snapshots posted by some media, the supercar also brings a track-focused aerodynamic package. It is believed that the superleggera has a stiffer suspension tune and it must be supported by upgraded wheels, tires and brake components. However, many analysts said that the prototype does not brings the AWD system. Rear-drive LP580-2 which was introduced last year will be the basis for the lightweight version.

Giving the Huracan Superleggera a rear-wheel-drive system makes it 73 pounds lighter than its full version. It means, a more extreme diet is required. To fulfill the need, Lamborghini will still apply carbon fiber and cut-off some items in the interior section. The Huracan Superleggera will still use the same engine chassis but with reduced mass. It is because Lamborghini wants to provide a high performance supercar.

For this lightweight version, Lamborghini will still use the same 5.2-liter V-10 engine that can produce up to 573 horsepower. Combined with rear-drive system, it is believed that the supercar can accelerate faster than its older version. Do not expect manual transmission system because for years, the Italian company has never provided it on the cars they built. In the market, the Huracan Superleggera will face a fierce competition from Italian Ferrari 488GTB, English McLaren 675LT and German Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

It is believed that Lamborghini will release the superleggera sometime in 2017 with $242.445 of starting price. Some pictures found on the internet show that the Italian car has tested the car on the road which means that it is one the final stage. So, for you who are waiting for a powerful luxurious supercar, you have to wait until the Superleggera comes.
